SecurIT announces RoleManager™ for IBM Tivoli Identity Manager 5.0

The new release provides full compatibility with and seamless integration within IBM Tivoli Identity Manager 5.0, and a new web service API for custom user interfaces and external Role Engineering tools.

Gent, January 25, 2008 - RoleManager 1.3.5. offers full compliance with ITIM 5.0, whose Innovative, redesigned administrative console can reduce the learning curve of new and occasional users, while helping improve the efficiency of power users and administrators.  SecurIT changed the look and feel of RoleManager in order to maintain the seamless user experience and adapt to the new behaviour of ITIM 5.0.  
In addition, a new Web-services based API will be made available as a post-delivery, which will allow customers to easily develop custom user interfaces and integrate with external role engineering tools.

  • Supporting Role Attributes, like Role Owner, Role Assignment Approver and Role Type, to apply a policy-driven delegation model closely linked to the organizational structure and/or Business requirements;
  • Offer the possibility for users to move smoothly to other responsibilities via temporary role assignments, including fading out from previously assigned roles.
  • Enhanced Role Foundation Modeller, which uses ITIM reconciliation to retrieve authorization groups from target systems and automate the creation of the Role Model foundation layer.
